On Tuesday, September 6th, 2011, ten young women will go back to school in style with a fresh hair do’, skin care products, and an entire day of beauty completely free. No, they didn’t win a contest prize, an award or an extreme makeover. They are simply students in Seattle currently navigating their lives into adulthood all the while living as children of the foster care system. On the day before school begins, they won’t be girls in foster care. But they will be future agents of change, empowered, supported and pampered by their community.
